SNG has an immediate opening for a qualified Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s marketing and communications activities. The Marketing Manager is expected to manage an effective online presence, collaborate with third-party partners, enhance SNG’s brand, and develop internal and external content and communications for a range of audiences such as government customers and new hires.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with the key business stakeholders throughout the organization to develop, implement, manage, and measure marketing strategies and communications
  • Plan and coordinate marketing initiatives with internal teams and third-party marketing support agencies to execute routine engagement and campaigns
  • Create content to disseminate across multiple platforms and to a range of audiences
  • Establish content calendar and key performance indicators (KPI) to measure impact of marketing and communication programs and content
  • Manage website and social media account content to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Develop and oversee brand compliance, usage policies, and best practices for SNG and subsidiaries
  • Understand the cultural significance of operating as a Tribally owned entity and for the benefit of the Seneca Nation
  • Managing & hiring external communications, marketing and other support contractors/vendors
  • Monitor online reviews to address employee, community, and customer communications
  • Oversee social media post implementation. Review social media content calendar and ensure appropriate internal approvals are obtained and posts are input into the appropriate system following SNG policy
  • Develop, assign and track social media training for staff
  • Organize and select articles for the periodical newsletter and obtain required internal approvals and publish newsletters each month in a timely fashion
  • Keep SNG current on the latest traditional and digital marketing trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Understand business objectives and drive the planning, execution, and measurement of the marketing strategy


Qualification Requirements:

  • 5+ years of marketing and communications experience, including digital marketing, working with content management systems, and website administration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or in lieu of Marketing/Communications degree, another Bachelor’s degree plus at least 10 years of practical relevant experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven expertise as a creative writer, copy editor, and storyteller capable of producing whitepapers, research, promotional emails, social media posts
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and marketing automation software (Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365 CRM, MailChimp)
  • Experience managing and scheduling content operations and aggregating and reporting performance metrics
  • Understanding of SEO, website analytic tools, ROI, and content optimization
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously
  • Analytical ability to interpret data and present it in a meaningful and easily understood form
  • Familiarity with web design and website administration, as well as a solid understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Thorough understanding of inbound/outbound marketing campaign elements (advertising, content creation/distribution, events, email, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
