Job Description:

Seneca Global Services is looking for an experienced Senior HR Analyst to work under the supervision of the Civilian Business Office Human Resources Chief and will handle on-site questions and issues at The Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) in Falls, Church, VA and assist remotely with customer service issues at Joint Base San Antonio, TX.

 

This high performing team member will serve in varying roles to provide technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of civilian human resources personnel management programs through the execution and implementation of HR operations.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Apply Civilian HR rules, regulations, procedures, and/or operations pertaining to management of resources.
  • Daily maintenance of hiring actions trackers and Request for Personnel Action logs
  • Weekly updates and maintenance of performance appraisal/plan reports and presentations for hiring actions
  • Serve as the Operations Officer and primary POC for all human resources taskings on behalf of the Civilian Business Office Human Resources Branch in the National Capital Region
  • Review new operations, regulations, and policies to identify impact and proper procedures for local implementation.
  • Serve as customer service liaison to CPAC, CHRA, and other Army HR agencies on behalf of employees
  • Maintain oversight on special projects and major human resources policy changes to identify potential impact on organizational staffing, management, and mission requirement
  • Provide program management and executive officer support for daily internal operations in order to maximize the effectiveness of senior staff in executing their program and related administrative responsibilities.
  • Facilitate executive level activities to include developing and maintaining operational briefings, logs of taskings/suspense dates, and local supplements as required to regulations, directives, and command guidance.
  • Develop plans, schedules, agendas, and itineraries, and coordinates associated actions to ensure smooth operations and implementation of approved plans.
  • Serve as liaison between the chief, MEDCOM, and MEDCOM employees through the preparation and conduct of recurring and special military human resources meetings and conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of one year of HR or related experience.
  • Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of firm services; preparing concise, accurate documents.
  • Experience with using Microsoft SharePoint portal sites and providing document management support.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Must be willing to seek out information and best practices without in-depth training from principal. Individual will be required to learn “on the go” without direct training on all aspects of position
  • Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment.
  • Possess an acute awareness of organizational cultures and political savvy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, MS Project, MS Office, and Excel.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the following Army Data Systems: DCPDS, DPMAP, GEARS, BoBI, AUTONOA, and CPOL.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the DoD, ideally within the Military Health System and/or US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM).
  • Certification in one or more of the following: PMP, PHR, SHRM-CP or related certification.
