Description
Candidate will support a large DoD IT program as part of the Program Management Office (PMO) through projects/initiatives as directed by the Government. Be willing to jump in with any task to support the team is key, as the program and team are very dynamic and integrated.  

This person will:
  • Support government PM with maintaining schedules and calendars.
  • Perform day-to-day project management, planning, coordination, and oversight across multiple projects and sub-initiatives, as assigned.
  • Perform day-to-day project performance analysis, status reporting, and risk identification and mitigation.
  • Develop a program risk, issue, opportunity, and action item management plan for the  program.
  • Perform day-to-day identification, documentation, and management of program and project risks, issues, opportunities, and action items with clear and concise descriptions, assignments and dates and in accordance with the Risk Management Plan.
  • Develop acquisition strategies and plans.
  • Conduct market research including the evaluation of DoD contracts and RFI responses.
  • Develop program management plans, including but not limited to Project Schedules (IMS), Financial/Budget Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Governance and Configuration Management Plan, Training Plan and Roadmap, Change Management Plan, and Risk Management Plan.
  • Develop or support development of briefings and meeting documentation, status reports, financial/budget analyses, annual budgets, program document library, and other applicable program documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including experience managing projects/initiatives in a DoD environment, including risk management and cost/schedule/performance responsibility.
  • Must be well-versed in DoD Acquisition and Program Management practices.
  • Must have active SECRET clearance (an Interim Secret is acceptable).
  • Must have strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.  Writing samples may be requested. Some experience working in SharePoint is helpful.
  • Must have a Bachelor of Arts or Science from an accredited university or college.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of or background in Foreign Military Sales is helpful.
