Job Description:

Seneca Global Services is seeking a highly motivated and internally driven information technology (IT) Project Manager to support our government client in Mechanicsville, PA.  This position requires a Secret clearance and provides critical support to the Program Management Office (PMO), a key enabling office in a large Department of Defense (DoD) organization. This position requires an active SECRET clearance.


This position entails providing program and management support to various operations within the PMO. The position offers the opportunity to lead various small projects/initiatives in a transparent, collaborative team environment in support of the client. The PMO is a long-term, close-knit, and dynamic team; willingness to provide proactive support in any capacity is of paramount importance. The candidate should have some knowledge of program/project management skills as well as a good background in one or more IT disciplines. The ideal applicant has at least 5+ years in DoD or federal IT programs, preferably with experience managing legacy system modernization projects.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinating activities between various entities ranging from within the organization to outside the agency.
  • Providing direct support to Government Program/Project Managers to plan and execute IT projects that include mainframe applications, web applications, database/middleware technologies and supporting infrastructures.
  • Developing and/or supporting the development of briefings, meeting documentation, status reports, financial/budget analyses, annual budgets, program document library, and other applicable program documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with contractor team members on timely completion of deliverables and work products.
  • Supporting the maintenance of collaboration sites such as the Case Lifecycle Management Suite SharePoint and Confluence sites, including working with a SharePoint administrator to meet requirements set by the client, inputting and tracking action items, and developing appropriate key words/tags for documents
  •  Supporting administrative activities such as facilitating on-boarding of new team members, documenting notes/minutes for meetings, supporting the Govt PMs with status reporting and action tracking, etc.
  • Assisting in leading the planning, coordination and execution of projects from requirements analysis through development, test, and deployment following best management practices for agile, waterfall and hybrid projects, based on the type of project assigned.



  • Must have an active SECRET clearance (an Interim Secret is acceptable).
  • Must have a Bachelor of Arts or science degree from an accredited university or college OR be able to illustrate relevant IT / PM knowledge.
  • Must have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) as well as the ability to work independently in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • 5+ years experience managing and supporting IT projects in the federal government and DoD is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles, including waterfall, traditional, and agile is preferred.
  • SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira knowledge is preferred.
